Digging is what Tunnel Town is all about! Have your bunnies dig to expand their burrow according to your design. As you level up, you’ll be able to dig into deeper and deeper layers of rock and dirt underground. As your bunnies approach a new layer, you will see the level displayed that your burrow needs to reach in order for you to continue digging deeper. New strata are unlocked at Levels 5, 10, 15, and 20.

To get started, you can find your friends on Tunnel Town by launching the Game Center app. Exit Tunnel Town and find the Game Center icon on your device, or launch Game Center from within Tunnel Town by tapping the “Buddies” icon in the game (the circle icon with two waving bunnies), then tap the Game Center icon at the bottom of the Buddy List screen. With Game Center open, select ‘Requests’, then tap on ‘+’ to create a friend request, and enter your friend’s Game Center ID. Once they accept your request and install Tunnel Town (if they don't already have it), they will show up on your buddy list in Tunnel Town. They will also appear in the Game Center app itself, under Games-->Tunnel Town.

We can certainly understand your interest in earning more Stars, and we’re happy to let you know there are three ways to do so:

- Receive Stars as gifts from your friends
- Buy Stars in the shop
Unless you sign into Apple's Game Center app, Tunnel Town can only save your game on the device you are currently using. Switching to a new device will mean starting the game over and creating a separate burrow. If you want to be able to access your burrow from multiple devices and see your friends in the Buddy List, you need to connect to Game Center.
If you choose to connect to Game Center, please do the following:
1. In Tunnel Town, click the Settings Button in the bottom right corner of the screen, and then click the "Switch User" button.
2. If you see a button with your Game Center name on it, tap it and it will load your burrow tied to that Game Center account.
3. If you don't see a button with your Game Center name on it, close Tunnel Town and open the Game Center app on your device.
4. Sign in to Game Center, and then open Tunnel Town.
The game will then load the burrow tied to that Game Center account.

If your bunnies have run out of energy, don’t worry: there are a few ways to charge them back up!
Bunnies will recover energy slowly over time if left idle, or you can recharge them instantly by feeding them food that you grow in your garden or purchase at McFluffin’s Market.
If you place a bunny on an “activity item” such as a trampoline or bathtub, it will not gain or lose any energy while engaged in the activity. However, if you place your bunny on “resting furniture” such as a chair or bed, its energy will recharge over time more quickly than if simply left idle on the ground. When your bunnies are relaxing on furniture that recharges them, you will see a small lightning bolt icon above their heads. This will let you know that they are recovering the energy they will need to dig tunnels and mine Gems.
It’s great to hear you’re interested in purchasing items for your burrow! To get started, you can visit McFluffin’s Market, which can be found on the surface level of your burrow, to the left of your garden plots. When you visit McFluffin’s, you will be able to purchase different bunnies to play with, plus furniture to customize your home, food to energize your bunnies, fun stuff for your bunnies to play with, and extra Gems and Stars.
You can also reach the market by tapping the Marketplace icon; the circular icon with the shopping bag on it, located on the left side of your game screen.
Growing food such as carrots, green leaf lettuce, radish, and other crops will help your bunnies grow and restore the energy they use helping you build the ultimate underground empire. To plant crops, start by moving your viewpoint to the surface level of your burrow. Here you’ll find some one or more garden plots ready to plant. Tap the little sprout icon above a garden plot to open the Seeds menu. Scroll right or left in the menu with your finger to find the crops you’d like to grow. Then touch the seed packet you’d like to use, and drag it down to the empty garden plot to plant the seeds. Please note that the seeds for most crops will cost you some Gems, with prices displayed on the seed packets. In general, the higher-cost seeds will give your bunnies more energy and/or cause them to grow faster.
Different seeds will require different lengths of growing time before they are ready to harvest. Once planted, your seeds are always growing - even when you’ve exited the game or turned off your device. But don’t wait too long to check on them -- mature crops that sit too long will eventually spoil!
Once your crop is ready to be harvested, it will glow and you can pick it by tapping on it. Your harvested crops will then appear in your food storage, ready to feed to your hungry bunnies. Access your food storage by tapping the food icon in the top right corner of the game screen.
Feeding your bunnies will restore the energy they spend digging and mining Gems. It will also cause them to grow and level up, enabling them to work faster and store more energy. Food can be grown in the garden plots on the surface level of your burrow, or purchased at McFluffin’s Market.
To feed your bunnies, tap on the food icon in the top right corner of the game screen. Use your finger to choose a food item, then hold and drag the food item from the menu to your bunny. They know when dinner is served; they will take the food from your hand and make short work of it!
Tip: It’s easier to feed individual bunnies by separating them from their friends and zooming in on them. Pinch to zoom the camera in and out, and you’ll be able to get close enough to your bunnies to ensure they eat all their dinner!
Gems are needed to purchase seeds to grow food, and to shop in McFluffin’s Market for decorations, furniture, more bunnies, and other fun stuff. There are several ways to earn Gems in Tunnel Town: you can place your bunnies on Gem Digs and have them mine them for you, you can complete the Goals accessed through the clipboard icon on the game screen, or you can sell crops, furniture, bunnies and other items to McFluffin’s Market.
Gems and Stars are also available for purchase. Visit McFluffin’s Market and select the Stars & Gems icon. Please note that purchasing Stars and Gems cost real money, and the appropriate payment information must be set up on your device in order for you to make purchases through the App Store.
Breeding bunnies and discovering new species is an art as well as a science. To begin, you will need to purchase a Dance Floor from McFluffin’s Market and place it in your burrow. The Dance Floor is where the magic happens; this is where you will combine different bunny species and breed the exotic varieties that will make your underground city a real showpiece.
Start the process by placing the two bunnies you wish to breed on the Dance Floor. Note that both bunnies must be at least Level 5 to breed. When the bunnies are in place, the music menu will appear. Choose which song you want your bunnies to boogie to -- your choice will actually influence the color and variety of bunny offspring you’ll get. Try different combinations of bunnies, different dance floor positions, and different music to see the possible baby bunnies that can result.
When everything is in place, tap the Dance button on the music select menu. The dancing won’t stop until the proud parents have produced a bunny egg, which you can hatch by tapping on it!
Congratulations on the new addition to your colony. Don’t forget to give your baby bunny a name! They don’t really like the names they’re born with. It’s a rabbit thing.
Most of the things your bunnies do contribute to your burrow’s experience points (XP), including digging, mining, gardening, and breeding. The more XP you accumulate, the higher your burrow level will rise. However, the FASTEST way to earn XP and level up is to complete the tasks you’ll find listed in the My Goals menu. To access this list, tap the round icon with the clipboard on it, located in the upper left corner of your game screen. Here you’ll find new tasks, and you can track your progress towards existing goals. Completing these will help you level up your burrow quickly and unlock cool new stuff for your bunnies to play with.
To place furniture items in your burrow, first tap the Decoration icon. This is the square icon on the right side of the game screen with a picture of a carpet, wallpaper and pot on it. Now tap ‘Furniture’ in the menu box that appears, and you will see any furniture items you’ve purchased in a scrolling bar across the top of the screen (if this bar is empty, you’ll need to purchase furniture in McFluffin’s Market before you can place it in your burrow). Drag any item from this menu down into your burrow to place it. As long as your finger is on the item, you will be able to move it around.
To reposition an item in your burrow, tap it once. A menu will appear with buttons enabling you to sell the item or return it to your inventory. This menu will also contain a slider that adjusts the placement angle of the item. Move the button on the slider to position your item just the way you want it.
To move an item you’ve already placed, touch the item and hold your finger on it until it appears to “float.” By keeping your finger on the screen, you can slide the item around your burrow until you find the perfect spot for it.
You can decorate the walls in your burrow by following the steps below:
- First, tap the Decoration icon. This is the square icon on the right side of the game screen with a picture of a carpet, wallpaper and pot on it.
- Next, tap on ‘Wallpaper,’ which this will bring up a menu of different wallpapers to choose from.
- Tap to highlight the wallpaper you want to use in the menu. Note that an outline of squares has appeared on all of the wall surfaces in your burrow.
- Tap any outlined wall surface in your burrow to place a square of your chosen wallpaper there. Keep going until you’ve covered the area you are decorating. Try alternating patterns for a funky look!
- Tap the ‘X’ button in the top right corner of the wallpaper menu to close the menu and exit the placement mode.
Follow the same steps to decorate the floors of your burrow, but begin by selecting ‘Floors’ in the Decoration menu, rather than ‘Wallpaper.’ Want to decorate your connecting tunnels as well? Tap ‘Tunnels’ in the Decoration menu to replace your tunnels with decorative pipes!
Digging is what Tunnel Town is all about! Start by tapping the Dig icon; it’s the square icon on the right side of the game screen with a pick and shovel on it. A menu box will appear; tap the Dig button there, and you’ll see a grid overlay appear over the layers of dirt and rock below the ground. Tap the squares you want your bunnies to dig out. Squares that have been selected for digging will turn green; if they turn red instead, it means that your bunnies can’t reach them. You will need to dig a tunnel to that location and connect it to the rest of your burrow before your bunnies can dig there.
Once you’ve selected all of the squares you want your bunnies to clear, tap the green Dig button near the top of the screen. Your faithful friends will work nonstop until your instructions have been carried out, or until they collapse from exhaustion and fall asleep -- whichever comes first.
If you ever want to fill an area back in and design something different there, select the Dig icon on the game screen, followed by the ‘Fill’ icon in the menu box. Anywhere you touch underground will now be restored to its original state, until you tap the ‘Done’ button. Be careful! If you fill in areas that have pipes, wallpaper, or floorcoverings, these decorations will be destroyed and you will have to replace them if you change your mind!
Tip: Some bunny species are faster diggers than others, and higher-level bunnies will be able to dig longer without a food break than youngsters, since they can store more energy. Experiment with different bunnies and put your best diggers on big excavation jobs!
New bunnies will have a default name already when they join your burrow, whether you breed them on the dance floor or buy them at the market. They probably won’t like their default name very much, though. You can create your own names for your bunnies by following these steps:
- Tap on the bunny you wish to rename to bring up their Bunny Card.
- Tap on the pencil icon next your bunny’s current name.
- Delete the current name and type in a new one, using the keyboard on your screen.
- Finally, press the blue ‘OK’ button to save your changes.
To send one of your bunnies into time-out, or make room for new bunnies without selling your current ones, you can move them to your ‘My Bunnies’ inventory. Just tap on the bunny you wish to relocate to bring up their Bunny Card, then tap the blue ‘Put Away’ button.
To bring up your bunny inventory and return stored bunnies to your burrow, tap the My Bunnies icon on the main game screen -- it’s the square icon with a pair of bunnies on it, on the right side of your game screen. You can drag and drop bunnies from this inventory box directly into your burrow.
